  • Continued working on the Query Builder. We focused on making it possible to query for Item values and being able to limit the number of Items in the result. We also looked into how to query for quantity values.

  • Finished working on the problem of Items that have the page prop wikibase:statements set to 0 but actually do have statements (phab:T145712)

  • Worked on no error being shown when trying to save Lemma with invalid language code (phab:T265783)

• Development
  • Continued working on the Query Builder: made it possible to limit the number of results in the result set, made it possible to include results from subclasses when querying for Item values, worked on negating queries and started on sharing of queries via URL. As always you can try the current state on the test system.
  • Making links in the Query Service redirect to the proper translations of their pages on-wiki by using Special:MyLanguage redirects (phab:T267656)
  • Working on fixing an issue with displaying large numbers for quantity values (phab:T268456)
  • Fixed a case where no error message was shown when trying to save a Lemma with an invalid language code (phab:T265783)
  • Talked to a few more people about checking Wikidata's data against other databases to find potential errors
  • Continuing the Release Strategy project for Wikibase, with the following progress:
    • Created a “release pipeline” for Wikibase extension (phab:T267627)

MACSE adatbázis azonosító a Wikidatára

Tavaly felkerült két 19. századi német nyelvű lexikon összes szócikke a Wikidatára, benne rengeteg magyar személy, köztük sok arisztokrata adatlapjával, de német névvel(pl.: Nádasdy-Fogáras, Franz (I.) = Nádasdy Ferenc (1464 k.–1543) várnagy). Nekem nagyon sok esetben segített az azoosításban a MAGYAR FŐNEMESSÉGI ADATTÁR adatbázisa, ahol 35 ezer tétel van a magyar főnemesek és közvetlen hozzátartozóik, leszármazottaik születési/halálozási adataival, rokoni kapcsolataival. Arra gondoltam ezek azonosítóját érdemes lenne felvinni a Wikidatára, részben a duplikátumok kiszűrésére, részben forrásértékű adatok meglétének jelzésére. Elindítottam egy javaslatot, de ezidáig meglehetésen egyedül vagyok ennek támogatásában. Ha valaki lát benne fantáziát, ezen a linken d:Wikidata:Property proposal/MFAT person ID nyomhat egy támogató szavazatot.   • Continuing development on the first version of the Query Builder. It's starting to be able to do the first really meaningful queries now. Latest addition was the ability to negate conditions. Up next is the ability to connect conditions with OR instead of only AND as well as querying for quantities and ranges. You can follow along on the test system.
  • Exploring possible solutions for how to compare Wikidata's data against other databases to find and highlight mismatches automatically.
  • Added lexicographical data codes for a few languages: rkt, ctg (phab:T271589), and az-cyrl (phab:T265906)
  • Finished working on the issue of TypeError on a diff of a Wikidata talk page phab:T271402

Téves honlapcím javítása

A Temesvári egyházmegye infoboxában az egyházmegye honlapjaként megadott link átirányít egy filmes oldalra. A valódi honlap https://gerhardus.ro/ lenne, de nem engedi javítani a wikidatán. A rossz honlapcímet nem engedi felülírni. Valaki segítene kijavítani? – Hkoala 2021. február 5., 20:10 (CET)

@Hkoala: amennyire megfigyeltem, a honlapcímeknél valóban nem engedi átírni az URL-t, hanem az a szabatos eljárás, hogy új értékként felviszed az élő internetcímet, és a réginek a prioritását elavultra állítod. Ekkor a Wikidata adatlapon látszik ugyan mindkét internetcím, de csak az egyiket fogják beolvasni az infoboxaink, az elavultat nem. Ugyanakkor a tapasztalatom szerint az a módszer is működik, hogy amikor felülírod a régi címet az újjal, és egy hibaüzenet kíséretében visszautasítja a javítást, rámentesz még egyszer: másodjára elfogadja. És persze az is működik, hogy a tulajdonság értékét egyszerűen törlöd, majd új tulajdonságként immár a jó címmel ismét felviszed a hivatalos weboldal (P856) tulajdonságot. Tudom, hogy van valahol valami eszköz, ami kilistázza, hogy mely huwiki szócikkeknek nincs wd-adatlapjuk, de az istennek se jut eszembe, hol kéne keresni és elfelejtettem legutóbb elmenteni a linket... Gömör vármegye vs. Gemer szlovák régió

A Gömör vármegye és a szlovák ugyan ahhoz a WD elemhez van kötve, ami nyilvánvalóan nem ugyan az. Ha jól látom a francia szócikk szól még a vármegyéről, ennek szerintem külön entitásnak kellene lennie. Mi lenne a megoldás? JSoos ^vita 2021. február 13., 12:42 (CET)

JSoos jó, hogy észrevetted... Tipikusan egyszer véletlenül elrontott, utána csak tovább bonyolódott szituáció. Most szétválasztottam, csináltam a Gömör vármegyének egy új elemet Gömör vármegye (Q105475845), és átjavítgattam mindenféle nyelveken a leírásokat. Azt nem tudom, hogy ez a 2004-ben alakult szlovák turisztikai régió magyarul Gemer (tehát a szlovák elnevezést vesszük át), vagy Gömör? Egyelőre a szlovák nevét írtam be, (Gömör (Q475639)) nem hinném, hogy 2004 óta a magyarban elterjedt volna a neve. Ilyen esetben érdemes használni az eredeti és az újonnan létrehozott elemben is a különbözik ettől (P1889) tulajdonságot is, hogy megakadályozzuk a későbbi összevonást/összekeverést. Ezen a területen élnek magyarok, akik valószínűleg írtak már erről az entitásról magyarul. Úgy kéne elnevezni, ahogy a magyar nyelvű sajtóban hívják – csak az a kérdés, hogy miként lehetne ezt kideríteni. Tacsipacsi ezek "csak" turisztikai régiók, nem valószínű, hogy sok publikációban említették volna volna (útikönyvekben talán...) Van egy Szlovákia turisztikai régiói c. cikkünk, ahol viszont elég egyértelműen a korábbi vármegyeneveinket "fordították" bele a 2004 után létrehozott szlovák régiók nevébe. A Gemerský región itt úgy szerepel, mint Gömör és Kishont régió ami szerintem egyszerűen tévedés. Maga Gömör vámegye - mint szóbajövő névadó - 1802-ben megszűnt. Szóval nem egyszerű. Az egyetlen magyar nyelvű honlap, amit találtam, Gömör és Kishontnak nevezi, igaz, a fejlécet meg ránézésre Google Fordítóval magyarították… Arra gondoltam, hogy 2004-ben már volt internet, hátha írtak az új régiókról mint újdonságokról. Inkább a jelenség okára szeretnék rájönni, mert úgy tűnik, rendszeresen előfordul, például itt is: Lise Meitner. A „790996da33fa430d781372c066afd62e075bac17" azonosítót nyilván a wikidata generálja, mert élő ember ilyent nem ír be, de miért adja két különböző refnek ugyanazt a címkét?   • Abstract Wikipedia presents prototypes of two tools that could help people to visualize, exemplify, and better guide our understanding of the coverage of lexicographic data in Wikidata.
  • Public Domain Tool, developed by the Flemish Institute for Archives automates the process of determining whether their collection items could be in the public domain.
  • Sizes of country items (like "Portugal" (Q45)) were recently reduced by 30% to 50% by moving a few economics properties to "economy of"-items (sample: "economy of Portugal" (Q1649355)). The item "economy of Portugal" is currently larger than "Portugal". This can simplify uses of country items that previously timed-out. Infoboxes can still access the properties with the link through "economy of topic" (P8744).
  • Later this week, the development team will enable a rate limit for assigning new item IDs. Bots and users who successfully create items should notice no change, since the rate limit is equal to the existing limit on all edits. However, bots that often fail to create items may start to see different error messages than usual. This will hopefully reduce the problem of skipped item IDs.

  • Work on the Simple Query Builder continues. We finished connecting query conditions via OR (phab:T272694). Next we will work on adding the UI for sharing the visual query via a link (phab:T272887)
  • Improved the deployment process for the Query Service UI to make it easier to deploy
  • Fixed language code "dag" for Dagbani not working for Lemmas for Lexemes (phab:T272242)
  • Fixing the bug where the Property selector is not falling back from language variant to major language for Property labels (phab:T272712)
  • Adding a rate limit for creating Item IDs to avoid skipping so many due to misbehaving bots (phab:T272032)
  • Fixed the case where no error was shown when trying to save a lemma with an invalid language code (phab:T265783)
  • Fixed a but where merging two Lexemes fails if the source Lexeme has links to its own Senses (phab:T273830)
  • Increasing the rate of edits that trigger a check by the constraint checker to 50%. This will increase the number of constraints violations that you can query in the Query Service. (phab:T204031)
  • Making it possible to add interwiki links to/from Multilingual Wikisource (phab:T138332)

  • Fixed an issue with spaces in external identifier URLs being replaced by "+" (phab:T271126)
  • Added a rate limit for creating Item IDs, which should help with decreasing the number of skipped Q-IDs (phab:T272032)
  • Fixed an issue where whitespace was stripped while typing when editing Lexemes (phab:T250550)
  • Fixing the case where you cannot easily edit negative quantities after saving (phab:T274129)
  • Working on making it possible to query for quantity values in the Query Builder (phab:T268942)
