Hi,
My name is Amir E. Aharoni.
I am an administrator in the Hebrew and English Wikipedias. I also write in the Russian and Catalan Wikipedias.
I work on developing MediaWiki features that help people read and write Wikipedia in different languages, such as ContentTranslation, Translate, UniversalLanguageSelector, and others.
I don't know the Hungarian language, although it is on the list of languages that i want to learn. Wikipedias in other languages - Romance, Slavic, Turkic or Semitic are easier for me to understand, but Hungarian is completely foreign. So i might misunderstand something basic and screw up your Wikipedia. If i make any mistakes - please forgive me and revert it. If you've got time, tell me where have i gone wrong.
Although i don't know the Hungarian language itself, i want you, dear reader, to know that i do know a couple of things about it - that it is a Finno-Ugric language, that it is agglutinative, that it usually puts peoples' first names after their last names and that it has this tongue-twister:
- Az ipafai papnak fapipája van,
- ezért az ipafai papi pipa papi fapipa.
... Although i don't remember its meaning. Something about the Pope's pipe?...
Thanks for your attention to my humble user page. ak:User:Amire80
